MOMS Plans

We are planning to hold another Jamboree in the Spring of 2023.  This will be our fifth Jamboree!

At Jamborees, we conduct continuing education classes, have rich conversations, discuss issues, and celebrate all the successes we have had.  The MOMS Community Health Workers love Jamborees!  They are genuinely excited to meet their ”sister MOMS” from other areas.  Many have never traveled outside their home town, so visiting new friends in a different district or even province is a delight.

In April of 2023, we hope to gather in Bo, the second largest city in Sierra Leone and the site of our headquarters.  As Bo is a major hub, transporting our CHWs from all over the area should be relatively straightforward.  We are negotiated a large space where we can house the women and hold our meetings.

Please help us!

Here are a couple of snapshots from previous Jamborees:

Our meeting was ”crashed” by the men’s secret society.  It took a little firm diplomacy to make them leave, but we did it without causing an international incident!
