MOMS has some pretty wonderful people!


Our board of directors includes educators, midwives, business people, people with experience in living and working in other countries. Our Sierra Leonean staff are skilled translators, nurses, public heath specialists, and managers.

  • M. Christie McManus, President, is an educator, reproductive rights advocate, newspaper editor, and retired executive.
  • Patricia Ross, Education Director and Secretary, is an educator and midwife.
  • John Ferrante is a computer programmer and involved for decades in nonprofit boards.
  • Seth Longacre is a specialist in nonprofit management.
  • Nina Kisch is an organizational psychologist and change management specialist.
  • Stephanie Sibert is a midwife and educator.
  • Marcia Macomber is a nurse, educator, and a returned Peace Corps Volunteer.
  • Trish Brown is a geneticist who has supported MOMS for years.
  • DyAnna Gordon is a midwife and public health specialist who has lived and worked in many countries.

Leadership Council. These women were elected by their classmates, and they are responsible to help set strategy, communicate, coordinate activities, and solve problems. They are a wonderful group of people who work hard for only their expenses.

We accept donations via PayPal, Zeffy, and Stripe; they have specific policies to protect your privacy. We use Constant Contact for our newsletters; they too have a clear privacy policy.
